amoosi revives gorgeous reclaimed and vintage fabrics to produce tailored clothing and accessories with timeless characteristics. Fabrics are carefully sourced from across the UK, and two collections per year are lovingly handmade in London by forward-thinking designers committed to a fresh approach to fashion.
amoosi is an inspirational choice that highlights how the problem of post consumer waste in the fashion industry can be re-worked into something positive and stylish. We hope that you will carry the colourful history of your beautiful new amoosi garment or accessory into a brighter and more sustainable future.
Passion, time and effort go into creating each amoosi piece
amoosi rescues desirable fabrics that reflect current styles and colour palettes. Designs are evolved, be it a tweak to the sleeve or a ruffle to the hem to ensure your timeless piece has an on-trend edge.
Our story
Originally, the co-founders of amoosi, Jessica Sherlock and Nina Flowers explored the possibility of offering re-worked vintage pieces. In seeking feedback from the women around them they discovered that, although an appealing concept, what professional women most craved was the sophistication of bygone eras such as the 1940s, but with a modern edge. That edge was perceived as more than a modern update to classic, iconic vintage styles. Self-assured, self-aware women in the 21st century were also increasingly open to the idea of a fashion label that was ethical and sustainable, as well as beautiful and long-wearing.
With these ideas in mind, Nina and Jess set out on their journey to create a fashion label built on ethical, well-tailored clothing and accessories.
